In this exhibit, Artane is hosting Cuban artists of the “Taller Experimental de Grafica” workshop, who have mastered the art of engraving, who are famous all over the world with their printing press techniques and who have played the biggest part in making Cuba’s name heard in the field of engraving.

The workshop was established in 1962 by a small group of artists. Subsequently, the workshop turned into a studio, a cafe, a school and finally an institute which has enabled the development of the art of engraving.

Today in Cuba, in addition to carrying out routine works in the Taller, the artists also constantly work forward to new studies and research with their intense interest in new trends.
