Photographer Sevil Sert, opened ARTANE, her new space in Cihangir, in 2006. This unique gallery in the centre of Istanbul acts as a bridge between Turkey and the international art world by enabling a platform in which artists of many nationalities can create and show new projects. Some of these relate to Istanbul itself, others provide never seen before perspectives.
ARTANE continues its mission of being the alternative for keeping the track of the local and foreign events in art world by developing these cultural and artistic communication.
